Will I lose weight from belly dancing?
The short answer: I don’t know.
The long answer: I have no idea because I can’t predict the future yet.
Belly dance alone may or may not contribute to weight loss because weight loss is a multifaceted endeavor with characteristics unique to each individual. Several factors contribute to weight loss, which include food choices, current health disposition, and frequency and intensity of exercise per day and week. Belly dance may help some people lose weight and for others bellydance helps maintain weight. Generally, any physical activity is beneficial but remember, this is a belly dance class, not a fitness class.
